VNZ National Database Project

Volleyball New Zealand has partnered with Sportsground Ltd to use the Sporty.co.nz platform for the online registration of college volleyball players throughout NZ.

Volleyball NZ is committed to improving the way we administer, manage and support volleyball in New Zealand. We have resolved to follow the lead of other major sports codes in New Zealand and maintain a national database of our participants. This will improve our understanding of our members and provide valuable insights for reporting and planning the future of our game.

Most Secondary Schools in New Zealand are already familiar with Sporty.co.nz - the official national registration partner of NZ Rugby Union, Netball NZ and Touch NZ. Volleyball NZ has engaged Sporty to use this same SuperForms™ technology for secondary school volleyball, commencing in 2020.

What this means is that when Secondary Schools login to the area for your school on the Sporty platform, you will see an official Volleyball NZ Online Registration Form. If your school has volleyballers, we request that they are recorded through this form. You can decide whether to let people register directly (recommended) or whether you prefer to register them yourself. Either way, this solution is intended to become a useful tool and local database for you, reducing paper while automatically updating the national database of volleyballers held by VNZ at the same time.

The method for registering volleyballers is the same process that most colleges are already using for other sports codes such as rugby, netball, football, touch and hockey. If you have any questions about this national initiative from Volleyball NZ please email beach@volleyballnz.org.nz
